Manufactured with HDPE, the fiberglass elements acts as a reinforcing agent to the HDPE. All materials are colored throughout & have UV additives to prevent deterioration of the plastic lumber from exposure to UV light.
The plastic and fiberglass mixture is heated and continuously extruded and then formed into the desired shape, cooled and cut. The process produces plastic lumber with a high-density solid outer layer, and a less dense cellular inner core, both favorable characteristics for strength and weight.
